Linchpin Consulting uses System Thinking and System Dynamics as a scenario-planning simulation methodology to help managers understand, evaluate and improve organisational systems. We also use Process Mapping to understand the connection between organisational goals and the processes that support them.
Through the mapping and modelling process, managers come to have a greater understanding of the the dynamic of the structural relationships between the critical components of the organisation’s systems and its environment. This process allows managers to change structural relations and then test them in a “flight simulator” environment, allowing them to test potential changes before putting them into practice.
System Dynamics uses behaviour over time graphs, causal maps and simulation modelling to allow managers to test policy scenarios to determine the best possible option for implementation.
